Fitness training is trendier than fashion. It seems that every year a new fitness fad evolves and everyone gets on the band wagon hoing for the miraculous change in thier appearance. Boot camps. Kick boxing, Zumba, Spinning, Step classes, Cross Fit, all trends, all to some degree effective. at dhp we have seen it all come and go. We understand that the best exercise is the one that a client will take on habitually. We also know that knowledge is power. When you understand what you shoud do, when you should do it and why it works you are far less likely to fail. At dhp, we are educators. We approach our training concepts scientifically, we have our own sports performance lab in where we can quickly identify each indivuals strengths and weaknesses. We also feel very stornly that our job is to empower our clients, not keep them in the dark and keep them coming back. We see your success as our success. When our cleints decide to take responsibility for thier own training and crete thier own goals and our able to see them through, we feel a great sense of accomplishment. We are not a fad, we are not a trend we are a serious scientifically based resourse that gets amazing results from our cleints. At dhp we always adhere to one simple rule; training must always follow the functional path. This concept is what defines our service. We believe that when the body has been optimized and all of the working musculature operates synergistically, the result is greater performance, reduction of injuries and a chiseled appearance. Regardless of age or current stature our system of training is very accommodating, developed with progressions that encourage increased flexibility and range of motion, integration of core and promotion of strength.
Our training environment speaks of these ideals. Don’t expect to find the typical “health club” environment with row upon row of selectorized equipment. These machines enable and segregate muscles which ultimately disrupts the functional relationship of movement. This type of training environment is a breeding ground for injury.
A health club is designed to process large volumes of members with minimal interaction. The equipment is “dummied down” to keep the user from harm but in so doing, limits the benefits that come from the type of education that functional training provides.
It has been clearly demonstrated that our clients see far greater improvements in strength, muscle gain and fat loss than in any other conventional setting. At dhp we are vested in each and every clients progress, our good name is on the line and we take this very seriously.

Semi-private group fitness training sessions
Long before Boot Camp became popular we have been running small group training sessions with a holistic functional approach. All of which is prefaced with our scientific intervention to determine how best your body will respond to the work we throw at you.
